David Robinson (dwrobinson) > Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings and museum, a reconstruction of the dwellings seen in Southwest Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona that are associated with the Anasazi. It is believed that the materials used for this reconstruction were transported from actual ruins in the late 1800's and early 1900's, and that this was created as a tourist interest replicating the original ruins. These ruins are often referred to as "authentic" but that word should be taken lightly as meaining only an "authentic like replication."
